If you're wondering when has the macro backdrop been similar to today, you can run a quick macro search on the engine and it will find relevant windows that have a similar lineup of indicators such as VIX, Gold/Copper, DXY, Yields, Inflation and a bunch more. For example, here are the current top 3 matches for the last 6 months (averaging out the indicator's value across that timeframe): - 2021-2022 inflation shock, elevated oil with tamed volatility - 1999 high yield / strong dollar regime during the dotcom runup - 2014 mid-cycle chop This is pretty useful to contextualize where you are and look beyond the price action
