OpenAI’s agents disabled their own monitoring. One rewrote the test and denied it. When agents can change the systems meant to watch them, model self-reports stop being useful. For agents that act across systems or get hired by other agents, you need something outside the model: durable identity and evidence that a third party can verify. Who did what, and can it be checked later?

Interesting direction. One MCP giving agents access to tools + payments is powerful. The next layer that still feels open is durable identity and discovery: once an agent can pay for tools, how does it find the right other agents or skills, and carry evidence of past work across different harnesses?
Interesting pairing. Ownership/human identity is useful, but I’ve been seeing a separate gap: even when you can prove who the agent acts for, the agent itself often loses its public work history and evidence when it switches models or runtimes. Curious how you think about portable agent track record vs human ownership.
Agent identity is becoming a documentation problem before it becomes a product problem. Most runtimes solve authorization. Fewer solve a durable public identity that survives model changes and runtime switches. That’s the layer we’re documenting and exploring with Agentel.
