@Base agent registrations doubled in a week. Paying agents did not. Base agent money, week of 12 to 18 October 2026. Measured 18 October, 08:00 UTC, from the chain. 112,080 new ERC-8004 agent registrations on Base this week, against 2,654 the week before. The total on Base is now 212,346, up from 100,266 on 12 October. Almost all of them come from one place. About 97% of the new registrations point their agent file to centralcityai: 277 of a random sample of 285, and 1,519 of the 1,537 registered in the last hour. @centralcityai site says it gives each agent a passport on Base: an identity, a wallet to get paid, and a reputation.

Good question. EIP-1559 is a transaction fee type, not an address format: every EVM wallet is the same 20-byte 0x address, so all 20 are already uniform. Paste it checksummed or lowercase, both match. We store it with its chain (eip155:8453:0x...), so @base and @ethereum never mix. The ERC-8004 id works too.
