Today, @CleanPowerInfo joins communities across the state in recognizing Clean Air Day California, an annual statewide initiative focused on improving air quality and protecting public health. Clean Air Day brings together individuals, businesses, organizations and communities to take practical actions that can help reduce pollution. CPA encourages customers and community members to participate by making simple changes that support cleaner air and more sustainable communities. Actions can include taking public transportation, biking or walking instead of driving, supporting local businesses, conserving energy at home, planting trees and reducing the use of single-use products. While each action may be small, collective efforts can contribute to meaningful improvements in air quality.

When summer temperatures soar across Southern California, staying cool is more than a matter of comfort; it is essential for health and well-being. For many households, however, the cost of purchasing an energy-efficient air conditioner can be a financial barrier. To help residents stay safe and comfortable while reducing energy use, CPA launched the Instant AC Savings program. The program provides customers enrolled in the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) or Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) programs with an instant $300 coupon toward the purchase of new ENERGY STAR® certified room air conditioner. Clean Power Alliance is launching a real-world test of whether cheaper, cleaner daytime power can change when we use electricity, with a two-year TOU-SMART pilot that includes more than 4,000 Southern California households. The pilot offers $0/kWh generation charges from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The goal is to encourage customers to shift energy-intensive activities, such as EV charging, laundry, pool pumping, and heating/cooling, to sunny daytime hours when solar power is abundant. Customers could save hundreds of dollars a year, while the UCLA-supported study examines how price incentives and messaging can reshape energy-use habits and support a cleaner, more flexible grid. 🌎⚡ Learn more: brnw.ch/CPATestsZeroCo… #Local #Community #RenewableEnergy
