Interesting, Belmont's Curse seems to have written a very specific plot point/arc to answer a very specific demand of game fans, after years of hearing otherwise from a certain fandom. This was a positive point in this game for me.

@CEOofPamonha Exatamente. Isso tudo aí é "supostamente", mas nem precisaria porque claramente foi continuado depois de forma extremamente próxima da ideia simples inicial. As segundas formas todas são o próprio Drácula, mas ele em si, em qualquer forma, é a incarnação do caos.

While I understand the sentiment, I can EASILY tell you about 10 spots to get filled. Easily, just off the top of my head. Wanna see? +

My cope with Castlevania is that the timeline was already pretty much completed with most of the gaps already being filled, the 1999 war is a bit of a sore spot but at this point it's probably best to just leave that to the imagination.

@CEOofPamonha @St1ka Sim amigo, tu encontra isso em um documento do Bloodlines contemporário do lançamento do jogo!

@St1ka We know that a "story of the Morris during WW2" was planned since Bloodlines was made, by the original team. So yeah.

@St1ka Shutaro Iida lore (he and Igarashi wrote Portrait of Ruin), and he MET WITH BLOODLINES' DIRECTOR to get guidance on what to do with Portrait of Ruin as a sequel.

@CEOofPamonha Um jeito ainda mais fácil é só enfiar na cabeça que o castelo é uma estrutura 3D. O "corte" que você vê no Aria não é o mesmo "corte" que você vê em 1999.

@draculllina And you're being very generous with "this iteration". Comes off as them trying to offer an general answer to a question that was already answer 20 years ago.

@AphantasticR A king of the "mazoku", rather. Not a horde, a "race" or a "tribe".

@AphantasticR I understand, I read your other replies. You want the actual fantasy Satan analogue. The one "Devil" that rules over an horde of demons, not just a powerful demon that is a king.

I'm very very skeptical of this post.

Trying to find the origin of the term "Demon King" or "魔王" and while originally it merely reveals to the source of evil in Buddhism more or less in regards to how it appears commonly in fiction the first appearance is FUCKING TOLKIEN IT'S ALWAYS TOLKIEN I'M GOING TO SCREAM

I have a hunch there is one piece of work (as always, with these things) that covered that before Tolkien was first ever translated into Japanese... I'll check that one when I have a little more time.

i'm not sure exactly what is the misconception here yet, but it seems VERY outlandish that Japan would not produce a piece of pop-culture where a "ruler of demons/evil spirits" would be called "魔王" before Tolkien became a presence in Japan.

*between CVIII and SotN it's 300 years, not 400. Hell if I did 400 it'd include Order of Ecclesia and Quincy. Two more lmao!

Oh and up there I say the 400 years between LoI and CVIII fits 5 games, right? Between CVIII and SotN it's 400 years. In that time, there's: -CV3 -Curse -Adventure -Revenge -CV1 -CV2 -Harmony -Rondo -SotN ...imagine now in the period I mentioned, where freedom is wider.

@RichterBlud Bollocks. It "can't live up to the hype" and it's an echo of Castlevania III, with the same scale event playing out again, but in modern times. It can't live up to the hype if someone is expecting an Avengers Portal Scene to happen.
