Yesterday I helped a friend with their startup's single server going down after an update. Turned out the contractor's AI generated code loads over 12k records from the database and presents them in JSON responses (on every request). The pool of bad software contractors is already huge. With AI, I'm afraid it's getting even larger. I think it'll be very difficult for experienced coders to compete in contracting gigs.

@bdlowery Can be done with Spatie Laravel data package. @lepikhinb 's book was the first good explanation I saw on how to set that up. @enzoinnocenzi 's Hybridly also has a similar set up to get types I think, can't remember exactly

@webdevcody Enjoyed reading this. Personally I've only had the pain with lambda, not used those other services, but it rings true. A few years ago you'd never see criticism like this on twitter, only evangelism. Refreshing to see the change in discourse recently.
