Yesterday, I voted YES as the PA House passed Senate Bill 1014 - a 'bell-to-bell' cell phone ban in all K-12 schools in the state. This includes public, private, charter, and intermediate unit schools. I urge the Senate to approve this bill and send it to the Governor's desk.
My family has a rich history in firefighting and this legislation has potential to save countless lives through preventative cancer screenings that are otherwise not available to these brave men and women.

If data centers become a public utility, they could preempt local municipal zoning ordinances and reduce communities’ control over land-use decisions. HB 2674 places guardrails on this issue and ensures that Pennsylvanians have a voice in where these data centers are developed.
Today, my House Bill 2674 - Restricting Data Centers from Obtaining Public Utility Status - passed the PA House (201-1). Since 2020, when data centers started to be constructed, Pennsylvania’s energy costs have risen by over 70%.
