Update: The Packers are planning to sign him to the practice, per source.

The Packers held a tryout for DT Mazi Smith, the former first-round pick out of Michigan. Smith was the 26th overall pick of the Cowboys in 2023. He played in one game for the Dolphins this season but was released. Also spent time with the Jets last season.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Josh Jacobs will practice on Wednesday and get a full week of work but TBD on whether he'll play on Sunday at Detroit. "We feel like he's in a pretty good spot. He's been training, but he's missed the exposure to football."

Matt LaFleur never thought 23 points would've been enough against the Cowboys. Perhaps that's because he had not yet fully realized what his defense can pull off. Story on the Packers' third straight game holding their opponent to 14 points or less: espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

The Packers have now allowed 14 or fewer points in three straight games. It’s their longest streak since 2016, when they also had a three-game stretch of 14 or fewer points allowed in each game.

Not the cleanest of games, but Matthew Golden (six catches for 104 yards and a TD) is the first Packers player with consecutive 100-yard receiving games within a season since Davante Adams in Weeks 16-17 of the 2021 season, per ESPN Research.
