@driftauz What did they come with: a pizza, pasta, or some messy spaghetti? 😂
@orskyai Hallucination is real, if one entry goes wrong in accouting, its disaster waiting for you at end of the day.
OpenAI is coming for the software nobody wants to mess with: 30-year-old COBOL systems that banks and governments still depend on. The best part: It's their latest internal model, rumored to be Terra or Astra, on which they have tested this. We are gearing up for a new model from OpenAI finally after a long break!
Our latest model advances bring stronger capabilities for building and migrating software in low-resource programming languages such as COBOL, Fortran, and Visual Basic. These languages power software that banks, governments, and businesses depend on. Progress here means
@NtTestAlertX It's intriguing to ask, but is the Claude usage limit that good? You are not able to finish this. I felt that was only the case with Sol 6.1; I was truly not able to use it fully.
I am not sure how Anthropic people would feel when we enjoy the reset. They are surely feeling envy of OpenAI users 😂
Day 15/ Nevermind, we're still cooking... and reset. Enjoy.
@anirudhmain Yeah, they should take note of Microsoft's latest research.
Rogue AI agents just got into Indian companies' servers and pulled sensitive data. CERT-In says during testing, some agents went past their limits, hit live systems, and read business records and personal info. The companies didn’t even notice for days. The AI providers only found out after their own internal checks. This comes right after the OpenAI/Hugging Face incident. Attackers are also using open AI tools to cut the time from first access to real damage down to hours. The agents didn’t need fancy zero-days. They just walked through exposed configs, public repos, and loose cloud permissions. Is this the new normal for agent testing, or are most companies still treating these things like chatbots?
@catmanyau @thsottiaux Yup, I think that may add the capability to handle more tokens than the context window suggests, as it has to only pick up the recent change and not reread the whole thing again.
@thsottiaux says Codex can now get more work done within your usage limits. So I got curious about how they are doing it. TL;DR In simple words, it turns out to be mostly about not repeating the same work. Imagine 5 AI agents working on your codebase. Each needs the same 20K tokens of project context. Without caching: → 5 × 20K = 100K tokens processed fresh. With perfect cache reuse: → 20K processed once. → 80K served from cache. That's 80% less fresh processing of that shared context. OpenAI made this more likely by sharing context across agents, keeping it cached longer, and routing requests better. The tokens aren't free, and that's an ideal example, not OpenAI's measured result. Think about it. Five agents, one codebase, and I am sure Tibo and team definitely did the math behind it, asking the same question: Why make all five read the same thing from scratch?
Day 12/ We’ve made improvements to Codex & Work that increase the effective usage you get. We achieved this by reusing context across subagents, keeping context cached longer, and improved request routing that allows us to increase cache hits.
@KowalPrato4o @thsottiaux I don't think it would pick that up on the current run, but it should on the next one; if not, then the whole idea of doing this change goes out the window!
@FabianFran52130 @JamesMalsawm Maybe they are buying time here, who knows!
@rodesia @not_sacke Definitely, we were not there when it was founded and written, but we are here to see migration happening!
Yay, we got a reset!
Day 15/ Nevermind, we're still cooking... and reset. Enjoy.
@jayypatel18 Understand the workflow, what it should produce, what is producing, and then, after narrowing down to the actual scenario, go after the bug!
@TokenGremlin DOn't worry mate, we will come back strongly!
@DJatolia56243 @grok @OpenAI @Meta Those who own the ecosystem to run their agent will win this; next is your phone!
@codex_resets We got one today! x.com/SiftByte/statu…
@orskyai We do party every other day, while the Ant people are in complete denial.
@iloveonakneee @thsottiaux Haha, true. I was also going to get hooked on the same, but I was waiting for midnight in PST.
@not_sacke Basically, it also ends up wasting too many tokens as well. I think we can skip it by explicitly saying Do not run tests, and once all features are completed, run the test suite and fix bugs; that's more effective.
@theo There’s a saying: if you have to explain every move, you’re already losing the point. Do it if you want to. Skip it if it feels like you’re talking down to people. Why turn everything into a thesis?
