Package authors, check that your packages work with the move to Swift Build: swiftpackageindex.com/blog/swift-6-4…
I’ve been working on some performance-critical Swift code, and you can get some amazing speedups using spans, BitwiseCopyable types, explicit non-copyable structs, and atomics from the Synchronization module.
That’s over a 400x speedup compared with Swift collection types and traditional kernel-based locking.
@pointfreeco's series on advanced macro techniques wraps up with part 2: type inference. A great read for Swift macro authors. Check it out at pointfree.co/blog/posts/233…

How does the debugger know exactly which Swift module your code came from? The upcoming Swift 6.4 release makes it more precise than ever, tracking the module path in debug info instead of looking it up by name, for faster and more reliable debugging. swift.org/blog/module-tr…
Lots of cross-platform Swift news this month. ElementaryUI brings Swift to the web, SwiftTUI brings state and animations to the terminal, and Swift on Windows keeps getting better. Read more in our latest digest: swift.org/blog/whats-new…
At last: a unified home for Swift documentation, pulling together the language reference, core libraries and tooling, and platform specifics into a single central home, no matter what you're building! Check it out and give us feedback: docs.swift.org
Circleback didn't port an app to Swift, instead using it as a portable systems layer that provides the connective tissue between an Electron UI and some underlying platform dependencies (ScreenCaptureKit on macOS, libobs on Windows). Interesting approach: circleback.ai/blog/how-we-re…
Embedded Swift is a subset of Swift built for tiny, constrained hardware, with far smaller binaries while keeping the language you already know. Swift 6.4 brings it closer to full Swift than ever, supporting "any" types, untyped throws, and metatypes. swift.org/blog/embedded-…
