Six to eight times a day is a common average, not a pass-fail rule. Healthy frequency can be higher or lower depending on fluid intake, caffeine or alcohol, medicines, pregnancy, age, and bladder size. The useful signal is a persistent change from your own pattern, especially if it comes with burning, a strong urge with little urine, blood, fever, or pain.
