I realize that consciousness is your field of interest, but I will not read any of the propaganda stuff you're pushing. Sorry. You teach that it is *unlikely* for machines to be conscious because they are not alive. But any attempt at ascribing a probability of consciousness to either machines or brains is an admission of ignorance. How does one even calculate this probability? It's absurd. My take is that no machine can be conscious and this includes the human brain. Probability is irrelevant. Consciousness requires two opposite entities: a knower (subject) and a known (object). I call it yin-yang dualism. By definition, the knower cannot be known and the known cannot know. The human brain can only provide the known part. The knower is some other entity, There are no colors in the brain and the 3D spatial vista you see in front of you doesn't exist either in the brain or in the world. It's a simulation. French philosopher Rene Descartes understood this truth centuries ago. Yes, a small part of the human brain is necessary for consciousness but it is not sufficient. It's no secret that all the sci-fi fruitcakes of the fake-AI community believe in the possibility machine consciousness. They're just a bunch of token merchants and backprop mechanics pretending to have special understanding. They don't know the first thing about intelligence, let alone consciousness. 🙄 Those who reject dualism because it's not politically correct, are neither philosophers nor scientists. Like all politicians, they are cowards and deceivers. Shame on all of you. 😠

I agree that their argument is lame. No machine is conscious and this includes the brain. Consciousness requires a knower and known. The brain (or some other machine) can only provide the known part. It is necessary but not sufficient. We live in a yin-yang universe. Yin-yang duality is reality. Those who go out of their way to dismiss dualism protest way too much. They have a hidden motive to deceive humanity. It's wicked.

Yes, it is dual. Everything is dual in one form or another because we live in a yin-yang reality of opposites. It seems to me that there is a small but powerful group of people on earth that hate humanity and are hellbent on poisoning the world with their bullshit. LLMs are their latest bullshit generation tools. They seem to be in a real frenzy lately, as if they're panicking about something. It won't end well. 😮😬
