"Manufacturing-constrained" is the one that matters to me. My Claude Opus designed boards stay cheap because they stick to JLCPCB's 2-layer default, about $2 bare. Thicker copper or extra layers can jump that to about $40 straight away. Which of these do you think are real products vs pitch deck?

@i2cjak Ha, that's kinda what TraceMaker does when it gets stuck. It relaxes constraints, tests the result, and keeps going until the board is fully routed. It's open source if you want to throw a board at it.

I am impressed by the lowest Quant of DeepSeek4.1-flash 1017. I am only get 6 tok/s on this first run of it but it seems to be very token efficient. Made this MandelBrot viewer in no time at all on my Dell R730 with 192Gb RAM, p100 12gb, v100 16gb and 400Gb NVME

A big new release for TraceMaker! Version 0.10.0 has new ways to get those last few pesky traces routed. Complex boards are now hitting 100%. It also runs simulation to tell you if there are any issues with the routing.
