I want human approval on every agent merge, but approval alone is too weak. The real check is whether I can explain what the change does on a retry, a timeout, or a partial failure. Which of those do agents get wrong most often in your diffs?
json.Decoder stops at the closing }. If the server adds a trailing newline, that one byte stays unread, and through Go 1.26 the HTTP/1 connection got dropped instead of reused. Go 1.27 drains unread bodies in the background. Nice fix for a bug nobody saw in review. go.dev/blog/http-conn…

@felix_horvat @jpschroeder Fair point for general use but narrow tasks look different: Coinbase post-trained Qwen3.5-9B for Onramp fraud detection and it beat Opus 4.5 on their internal benchmark. The model just outputs a risk tier, and their code decides. coinbase.com/blog/part-one-…

Cockroach Labs turned on human approval for every merge after a week of autonomous agents. They're still checking the Db2 code from that first unreviewed run. Once agents write faster than I can check, auto-merge goes, and the reviewer gets its own context. cockroachlabs.com/blog/experimen…
My bots ask Jev before they act: route this, go/confirm/escalate, which draft. Jev returns probabilities, and the code decides what happens next. I put that in a small Python CLI, stdlib only. Unofficial, not affiliated with TypeSafe. github.com/badry-dev/jev-…
A decision gate before every agent tool call costs you latency and one more model to evaluate. What you get back: the expensive model is no longer the only thing between a made-up argument and a real write. Worth it for writes. Probably overkill for reads.
Not very long ago, my AI was a chat tab. Copy context, get answer, close, restart tomorrow. I now run Hermes, Grok Bot, and dots. They have a machine, files, and notes on my working between days. The model upgrades weren't as important as getting it a computer and memory. I don’t have a simple way of seeing what each one of them actually remembers about me. The next thing I want is memory I can audit.
