Pls understand that unless you’re for some reason using shit indian certificates somewhere for some bizarre reason you’re probably ok. The people who actually have to do work are the operators of some ~30k garbage websites (mostly smaller or regional) who need to reissue, plus anyone running non-browser clients (old containers, certain language runtimes, IoT, unpatched Linux boxes, etc.) that still trust the root that this nukes. Basically no one of consequence is at any risk at all.

The end of an era: saying goodbye to Cursor as my harness. After using it for a solid two and a half years, being on the internal ambassadors and beta testers plan, having access to new features ahead of time and being able to peek behind the curtain, and after powering through many important challenges with it, it's time to say goodbye. Apart from the outright rug of losing Opus and GPT usage when you move to merged accounts (X + Grok + Cursor) despite a promise to the opposite from support - see pics - there's also the problem of Grok models just being unusable for any human. I do understand this aggressive cutover - the acquisition is forcing their hand in certain directions, and their path is now different from one of a swiss army knife of developer assist tools - but I cannot follow them on this path. I do, after all, need to get work done. I'm back to codex as my primary harness. To be fair and transparent, Grokbots are still running some menial tasks for me and this is what I will use my free Ultra account for - I have one selling my car, and another selling some baby related junk on a variety of marketplaces. One is tracking the social media performance of a side project (although even this I've moved largely to Claude), and one is keeping an eye on some real estate ads for me. But I would never use them for serious work. Why? Because I already did, and I learned my lesson. Thanks for everything Cursor team! It's really been a pleasure and an honor to participate in its growth!

Having a child made me love my parents to a degree I hadn't felt in adulthood. When my daughter was born I knew instantly that I was willing to give my life for her. And I realized that's how my parents felt about me. Becoming a father helped me inhabit my own parents' love.

I really truly tried to use and love Claude Desktop but it's so cucked beyond belief it makes you do MORE work, not less. It just overwhelms with verbosity and approval asks to the point of becoming an unusable headache. Anthropic models are best used in other harnesses. Back to Codex full time.

I don't wanna use Grok models. But I love @cursor_ai as a harness. I wish there were a way to use my claude max sub in cursor without using Claude Desktop or Claude Code (both terrible harnesses). I'd pay a separate plan for that.

Not only does the Codex input suggestion know exactly what I want to do next, it uses my phrasing, my acronyms (not just skills!) and stuff from memory. TAB AUTOCOMPLETE FOR LIFE!
