@Scisca_pl @MatBensin666 @Kristof_Poland OK fair, but I think it's great that Americans can be also part of an European success story, and aren't getting left behind...
@Scisca_pl @MatBensin666 @Kristof_Poland 45% of Bugatti-Rimac was bought by the private equity firm (yuck) BlueFive Capital, which is headquartered just outside the US: in Abu Dhabi. And what do you know, the board of directors indeed look distinctly "American"... (That was sarcasm.)
@MatBensin666 @Kristof_Poland "Europe is behind." ... Can you search "Rimac" for me, please?
@Kristof_Poland @MatBensin666 Compare the lowest end car of the East Bloc (that still mobilized masses) vs. the highest end model of the West's most prestigious manufacturer, that even in its time was for a selected few. Propaganda checks out. How about comparing the Trabant to the VW Beetle instead?
@Kristof_Poland An idea of an actual, cheap, real electric car for real people vs. an useless gimmick, that is designed for a presentation of halo car, aimed for a selected few at best - and this "feature" won't be part of it anyway. Yeah, what a disgrace...
Everyone's trying to make CPUs faster. I’m trying to make them worse. New project: CPU deoptimization. Searching for the slowest possible machine instructions x86 single instruction record: 198,002,498,236 cycles, 62 seconds The assembly hall of shame: github.com/xoreaxeaxeax/a…
I released a binary of my "fork" of the X68000 DaynaPort driver, as version "v1.3-CQ", based on @hyanoX's v1.1. Changes: it works on my Expert HD now, added multipacket mode, SSID/signal level retrieval, plus some fixes. github.com/chainq/BlueSCS… #x68000
@neo21670 Hát nagy csalódás gondolom, hogy nem 23-án lesz, főleg, hogy amúgy meg napforduló van. Napéjegyenlőség majd szeptemberben. 😅
While working on the Plantronics ColorPlus support in Viaduct, I randomly found a BoingBall implementation for ColorPlus Compatible computers, published by @Retro_Erik on GitHub. Well, I'm happy to report an Amiga still runs any BoingBall better. 😁
@neo21670 Strong Work Chronicles vibes. x.com/_workchronicle…
There's now a #SecretLab in my secret lab. (Badumm, tsk...) Treated myself to a SecretLab TITAN Evo XL NanoGen™ Pure Black gaming chair. Home office means, I literally live in this chair for 8+ hours a day, so I tried to have something nice for once. No regrets so far!
@sutehk A couple of years back the creator of IDE64 firmware made a 1541Ultimate/Ultimate64 version due to the lack of new IDE64 hardware, and wanted to upstream it, but it was rejected by Gideon, AFAIK. But I don't know more details.
@8BitShowAndTell I mean... That's a good feature. I've seen Word and Google Docs... and LibreOffice not living up to that standard.
@Claude1079 @sidecartridge Yes, all of that is clear, but in case of the ROM emulator. If you swap the ROM image served towards the mainboard. Will it be re-copied on a warm-restart? I doubt, as some accelerators even allow custom images to be uploaded (like my B2060) and they persist across reboots.
@sidecartridge @Claude1079 OK, fair. I was sure it would work on a cold boot. I wasn't sure if the MapROM copying process happens on every reboot, or a re-copy can be triggered when the image changes in the underlying Kickstart "ROM". But if this had been thought of, I shut up... 🤐😅
@sidecartridge The ACA500 (that has the ROMs built in) and the PiStorm aren't the only candidates here... But anyway, just pointing it out, that it's a maze of corner cases. Although it's probably less of a problem indeed on lower-end systems.
@sidecartridge Thanks for the reply. I'm a developer with good OS knowledge on Amiga. If you need help writing the ROM switcher, I could look into it. (Free of charge. I just want this product to exist, and be good, because I need it. 😅)
@sidecartridge any news about the ROM emulator Amiga Kickstart switcher for A500? A friend of mine just made an inquiry about which switcher I'd recommend, and I'm also waiting for it. Earlier I bought the TOS emulator for my STE, and it's great!
