Hey @jamesob Since we made this bet, I find that AI accelerates science at such a rate that it is now very difficult to sift through which papers/discoveries are relevant For that reason I've made this website: tungsten.bet/jamesob It highlights the two results that get furthest on your test so far (AI touched matter, and AI was necessary): • AlphaEvolve (May 2026): an AI-designed circuit is now in Google's TPU silicon (company-reported) • Lila Sciences (Sep 2026): AI picked 2,942 catalysts to make and test, and found palladium ones for green hydrogen (preprint) Not a huge leap yet, and not the win condition either. Anyway, run this through your favorite AI to give me feedback on what you think about the methodology/selection criteria.
