the way I'm looking at AI right now I'm listening to the signals, reading what people are saying, what's coming out, what's working. but I'm also exploring it myself, at the most basic, first-principles level, because that's the only way I've found to actually see and understand what's going on, instead of just taking someone's word for it the thing that's made the biggest difference for me is creating what I call evaluation matrices the idea is simple. you give it a goal. you give it some parameters. and you give it a way to evaluate its own work, some kind of score or standard it can check itself against once it has that, something shifts it can see where it's falling short it can try again it can start building its own tools to help it improve and then use those tools to get better again each loop, it gets a little better that's really the whole idea of recursive self-improvement we usually talk about it as this big concept, something for the future. but it's something you can use today, in how you code, how you build, how you work with these models every day I've been working this way with opus 5.5 for about three weeks now, and the change has been hard to ignore. the speed is one thing. but the quality, the level of what it produces, is what really stands out to me to me, this is the most important thing to be thinking about and using right now not as a trick or a hack, but as a different way of working with AI. you stop just asking it for things, and start giving it a way to grow
the pads are "gamified" so you can see what to press at the right time, sorta like "guitar hero" and then understand on early/behind and get on the beat as well
just added "pads" so you can play along every combo of a song
This tool basically takes a song or a music and then strips it down to the different components, then samples and recreates them over various runs. You could see the graph of the improvement over time, allowing you to effectively change it, have solos, play around with it, edit it effectively And remix it, take your own combinations, play on top of it, write a song at the end of the day is just a bunch of different sounds playing at the same time, usually at a certain pattern. Which is all mathematical, which is very good for the AI to understand and easy to work with not so mjuch for us!
