Tesla has been working on this demo for the better part of the year. I wrote in August for @theinformation about what the demonstration would entail and some of the inspirations for the vehicle, including the SR-71 Blackbird spy plane and Lamborghini Countach.

From last week w/@_pheebini: At one point, Perplexity and Nvidia were deep in deal talks, which they discussed a range of options from M&A to license-and-hire deal. They ultimately landed on a partnership plus an investment from the chip giant. Nvidia is going to invest half the equity round, or $3 billion that would value Perplexity at $35 billion before the investment.
