I compared the new DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (1017) with Claude Opus 5.5 and Gemini 4 Argon across 160 paintings made in code. DeepSeek is very impressive but over 160 paintings I started to notice something interesting...

its just an endpoint safe for agents to make changes and get what it needs. mcps will generally use the same api routes under the hood for implementation. i most recently used the figma mcp to look at the specs and develop a site. got all the measurements right, downloaded all the assets it needed, and made sure it was responsive. it makes more sense once you start using agents to do things on websites for you more. naturally you start grabbing for it and checking if whatever site/tool youre using has an MCP server set up.
