We're currently working on #SonicDE 6.8.0, porting the latest #KDE Plasma changes to our #X11-native environment. Expect the first release in the next few days. sonicde.org github.com/Sonic-DE
@SrDarfin Yes! You very likely catched some of the KDE Plasma 6.8.0 updates which are incompatible with the current SonicDE version 6.7.5. This will be solved by our own 6.8.0. We'll keep you posted!
@crwinters HDR also requires X server support, which isn't generally available yet. XLibre is working on a proof of concept: github.com/orgs/X11Libre/…. We're looking forward to it and will evaluate it once it's ready. For SonicDE itself, we're compiling use cases for HDR. What's yours?
@SrDarfin Let's say it's a question, without the adjective. ;-) To answer it, we need a bit more context. What distribution are you on and what DE? Which packages got updated?

@ddankenst A volunteer started packaging SonicDE for Debian and Devuan but got stuck at 6.7.2. We're looking to get things moving again, with updated packages for Debian, Devuan, and Ubuntu in the coming weeks. And the README be like: "add this repo and be done." ;-)

#KDE Plasma 6.8 is going #Wayland-only in a few days, so we forked it for you: #SonicDE, pure #X11, a home for your KDE and Qt6 native apps. Currently at about 140 components on 6.7.5, soon on 6.8 too. Find the packages for your distribution at sonicde.org
@Aerobrake77 Technically SonicDE is a fork of KDE Plasma 6, preserving and improving the X11 support. ATM it runs on Xorg too. To get yours: 1. Artix Plasma ISO 2. xlibre-artix.github.io 3. sonicde-artix.github.io Read the fine READMEs and make the sonic-switch! ;-)
