@rodolfo861 @darvin_delgado @salmorejogeek ¡X11, más libre que nunca!
There are different opinions on Wayland vs. X11. Two contrasting takes: p4m.dev/posts/29/index… and blog.vaxry.net/articles/2022-…. Regarding market share, there are no reliable, representative statistics. We've heard estimates ranging from roughly even to some Wayland majority, but take those with a grain of salt. Distro telemetry mostly reflects distro defaults, while self-selected surveys can contradict each other. The key question: how deeply is your app integrated into the graphics stack? Usually, you'll use a GUI toolkit like GTK or Qt, which takes care of most of the platform-specific details. If it's a Wine-based port, X11/XWayland comes to mind as a well-trodden compatibility path. Wine also has a native Wayland driver, so it's worth testing that too if you want to avoid the XWayland layer. Wayland implementations currently have an edge on fractional scaling and HDR, the X11 ones on remote access and compatibility. For many users, the difference may be invisible: X11 apps also run on Wayland desktops via XWayland. So, where practical, pick a toolkit that supports both backends. You could start with X11/XWayland if compatibility is your priority, and keep testing Wayland along the way. P.S. Some people like to make others believe that X11 is dead. Well, we're proof that it's pretty much alive. 😉
@LundukeJournal You're very welcome. Thank you for choosing XLibre!

@mattdmoss @bobstah @DevuanOrg We're glad to hear!
On #ArchLinux, you can now get both the “oldstable” #XLibre 25.0.x and the latest “beta” 25.2.x packages from our XLibre third-party repo. Please see xlibre-arch.github.io for setup instructions. The old x11libre.net/repo/arch_base… repo has been removed in favor of the new repos.
@RachadorD Ficamos contentes por saber disso. Obrigado por partilhares!
@mastermasashi Yes, xlibre-arch.github.io is maintained by one of our team members, and the repository is constantly being updated. You can find the x86_64 binaries at packages.xlibre.net/arch/stable/$a…. We'll soon add some more things in addition to the stable repo.

Our response to allegations on the #ArtixLinux forum was deleted today, a few hours after posting it. It dealt with claims made by a former #XLibre team member, who calls himself "artist." You can find the deleted post in our X article x.com/XLibreDev/stat….
We have an indication that the availability of version 25.0.0.24 also fixes an issue with Intel graphics cards on Artix as reported at github.com/xlibre-artix/x…. References: * x.com/XLibreDev/stat… * gitea.artixlinux.org/packages/xlibr…
