@IndieCurator Thank you. In reality, there were no other options. I tried to push it with overnights, but person can do just so much. One thing I am not willing to compromise on is my family. I am still collabing on some small projects that are fitting more with my current schedule.

Most of the old posts were no longer relevant.
This account won't be a dev diary anymore.
I've been struggling to find even 4 hours a week for development and I don't want social media eating half of that.
I'll post when I have something substantial to show.
Happy to announce that BYTECRUNCH just released a Twitch Extension focused on viewer engagement.
Built in collaboration between @StudioDraxi and @bytecrunchdev.
No price. No ads. No subscription required.
Now available to any streamer, completely free.

@MomsSecretObs@IndieCurator@StudioDraxi That is possible.
In this case, I built it based on a friend' s request, and he streams on Twitch, hence the Twitch compatibility.
I'm sick of conventional indie game marketing so I'm trying something different.
Devlogs look like they perform great but the audience targeting often isn't good - if you're a gamedev you want your audience to be gamers, not other devs.
So I'm throwing out all the conventional wisdom and trying something weird. I'm making my own Let's Plays.
Yeah it's super competitive buuut the audience targeting is perfect. If ANYONE watches my Let's Plays they'll likely be my ideal customer. So I don't care if the views are low, I care that the viewer is the right kind of viewer.
I've been doing this for only about 2 weeks now and my views have been between 80-200 per video but already one of them is way outperforming my expectations (1,100 views, pictured below).
My plan is to do this for about a year and see how it goes. I have a suspicion that this is the new meta for marketing your own games. It's easy, fun, and doubles as playtesting. I can't lose. Even if the marketing part doesn't succeed I'm still getting something out of it.
So no more grinding for weeks and months to make a devlog that people might watch. I'm going all in on Let's Plays.
Hey, welcome back!
I am making progress, but rather slowly over the last week or so. I keep finding myself buried under a mix of personal stuff, my day job, and studio administration, so actual development time has been closer to an hour a day lately.
Because of that, I have been focusing on smaller tasks.
That said, I am planning a fairly unique feature that I am excited about. I am keeping it under wraps for now until I am confident I can actually make it work in UE.
When I am not working on EXITRUN, I have also been testing a new app for indie devs made by @StudioDraxi .
Since he created it for the indie community, completely free, with no ads and no account required, I decided to help by testing it and reporting bugs.
Draxi’s Dashboard is officially live on @itchio 🥳
I built a free offline productivity tool for indie devs, artists, creators, and small business owners who are trying to stay organized without getting overwhelmed.
Track posts, save links, keep notes, plan tasks, and stay focused. 🫶

@LazyDevNL Understandable.
I am not much of an artist either, and I usually struggle with the final visual pass too.
What helps me most is staying open to iteration.
Let it breathe, keep adjusting things, and trust the process.
If you ever want a second opinion, feel free to DM me.
