Lakebase architecture has many benefits. One of which is making every dba operation instant. This shift such operations left from dba to a developer and all the way to an agent.

Had Opus 5.5 churn through Neon CLI commands to find perf improvements - mostly just parallelizing requests. On average, commands got 27% faster! Biggest wins: - 𝚗𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝚙𝚜𝚚𝚕: 1.5s -> 1s - 𝚗𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚔: 2s -> 1.3s - 𝚗𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝚏𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚍𝚎𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚢: 3s -> 1.2s - 𝚗𝚎𝚘𝚗 --𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚙: 297ms -> 147ms
Database branches have agent-market fit. Every time a better model is released we see an uptick in coding agents using branch-per-feature patterns. And lakebase architecture is king for branching
