@DzambhalaHODL It doesn't have no implications. It means various ECDSA curves are *more* secure than we previously thought, cuz now we know with more certainty that the seeds were not backdoored by NSA.

Been like this forever. I'm old enough to remember when the same crowd insisted that the 1st Starship prototype pics (the 1st stainless steel one) were all just Photoshop. The Elon haters are just a pathetic bunch. I think you're spot on that they have no intuitive sense for physics. But also no intuitive sense for anything related to innovation or actual productivity.

I was in an accident.. got rear ended buy a large truck while I was sitting at a light in my Model Y. He was going 50mph. My car tried to get out of the way on its own…. it drove forward and turned to avoid.. he was just going too fast. My Y saved my ass buy avoiding the car in front so we didnt have a double impact and reduced the impact by moving forwa. I hade zero injuries and walked away. I will be replacing the car with another Tesla. The car actively tried to save me and reduced the impact to my body. Just awesome…

I am connected to mine from the second I wake up to the second I go to sleep. It's become an extension of my body and a lifeline that has made me feel more human. Neuralink has given me some of the independence back that ALS has stolen from me.

Is it that all the people with entrepreneurial spirit, or any risk tolerance whatsoever, came to America in decades past and now Europe is just devoid of the genes that actually want to make civilizational progress? Anyway, glad my ancestors came to the US.

@CriptoAlegria @deepcandles Hopefully. But probably 2028. Either way, the roadmap will be clear and imo q-day itself is well into 2030s if not 2040+ anyway.

"The places where the returns to intelligence will still continue are also more likely to be zero-sum in nature" Why would that be true? Human intelligence since the scientific revolution has produced massively positive-sum effects; in theory won't more & more intelligent AIs invent more & more new things thus creating more positive sum dynamics, as humans have done for the last few centuries?

Weird psychology. Media and doomers have made it a social fad to hate AI, despite choosing to use it all the time. Pathetic!

Agreed, that's fair. I think the conviction point is still valid over a 10-50x too tho. *Especially* for someone starting with a healthy but not "finsncial freedom" portfolio, every 2x is hugely meaningful. Even if you think you have strong conviction in each of 5 bets you've made, hard to not be like "shit I need to lock this in" with most of them (which might indeed be the correct life-EV decision depending on personality). Idk, real conviction plus ability/temperment to ride even one asset >10x, in size, is hard imo, let alone several at once. I take your point that there are more reasonably investable assets this cycle tho.

Lost my vote. Why would you even take this stance when you are basically guaranteed to win the general after winning the primary. My kids walk these crosswalks and every human driver we get off our neighborhood streets is a win. If she takes office and continues this absurd policy I'll be tweeting each new preventable death of her term.

DC is facing a jobs crisis. Rushing the legalization of autonomous vehicles is irresponsible given the anticipated AI-related job displacement and disruptions that put countless workers at risk.

100x within the calendar year. Was pretty nuts. Also during the year we had: - The March emergency fork. The disaster scenario of a split network, in the middle of the spring run from $13->$266. - Gox "cooldown" in early April killing the rally. ***$266 to $50 in 48hrs*** - Gox getting their Dwolla account frozen by Homeland Security - Silk road bust - The run from ~$100 to $1163 top in Q4 Helluva year. Arguably ZEC in a period along those lines.

"Coin Center wasn’t founded to collect favorable exercises of government discretion. We’re here to establish legal limits that survive the officials who happen to agree with us. Our mission was never simply to get the government to say yes to crypto. Washington increasingly knows how to say yes to crypto when it can find an issuer, a compliance department, a transparent ledger, and a freeze function." We have stablecoin legislation. Great. Stablecoins are useful products issued by financial institutions. But we still need to protect the right to build things that don’t require financial institutions. Will the law tolerate software nobody controls, communications nobody intermediates, computer programs you run yourself, and transactions nobody has unilateral authority to reverse? Those are the harder questions."
