Anyone else having issues with @nunchuk_io when connecting to your own node? My wallet is stuck in "Offline" status. And my node is online and seems fine.

The Great Hackening of 2026 continues... and this time, it's Ledger. In this Guy's Take episode I break down this latest attack on self custody which has resulted in over $100M so far. I go into the history, the nature of the attack, what we know so far, and of course what we can do to protect ourselves. It's tough out there, and things seem bleak, but self custody is NOT dead. We must simply learn, evolve, and strengthen the immune system. And we will.

@NEEDcreations Bad actors have a way of showing their true colours. Better to find out sooner rather than later.

Never trust a man who doesn’t pay up when he loses a bet. @cryptoquick your credibility is on the line. This is bitcoin. People don’t forget.

There's nothing "normal" about prices going up. Most people assume that things getting more expensive is a fact of life. But in a truly productive, advancing society, everyday goods should actually get cheaper over time. In this Guy's Take, I lay out a simple analogy to show exactly how the creation of new money is quietly stealing the prosperity we work so hard for.

@xpugHODL Imagine the suffering you have to be going through to know that your loved ones will be left in pain, and still want to go through with it? Imagine the suffering you have to be going through to actually want to end your existence completely? Have some empathy ffs.

@Pleb4Fun @justh0dl @sms4sats Awesome thanks. This might be even better because I can just use it to switch to a USA iCloud account and then use email, recovery codes or backup codes for account recovery if I ever need to do an account recovery.

Anyone know of a good privacy-centric eSIM provider that will give you a US phone number? Bonus points if I can pay in #Bitcoin. Need to change my Apple location from the UK so I can enable Advanced Data Protection.

@statusquont @Dantoshi @Trezor Fair play on this. Still, seems like something that could be resolved by having zigzag lined around the edges or something. Not saying it’s 100% foolproof, but it only needs to be robust enough to make it impractical for an attacker to attempt at scale.

Anyone tried setting up 2 different multisigs using the same signers but different derivation paths? My thoughts are that this would only require an extra descriptor backup, whilst offering totally separate pools of funds (no additional key backups). Good/bad idea?

@JoeNakamoto Unfortunately they're not cheap but I'd still strongly recommend that you go for an nvme SSD over SATA if you have a USBC connection. Way faster.

@rleder I’ll believe the spooks aren’t involved when I see real investigations and arrests made.

The Coldcard entropy exploit, the Trezor customer data hack, and the Ledger supply chain hack, all point to the obvious: the spooks want your Bitcoin Really, really bad.
