Congressman Dan Meuser @RepMeuser

I’m joining the RJ Harris Breakfast show at 7:35 AM for an update on the biggest developments in Pennsylvania and Washington. Tune in here: whp580.iheart.com/featured/rj-ha…

Do you hate fraud? If so, I’m calling on you to join me in taking the pledge to protect Americans from fraudsters, by doing everything in your power to ensure that: 1. Vulnerable Americans, such as the elderly, indigent, and disabled, are protected from fraudsters who seek to prey on them. 2. Taxpayer-funded programs serve law-abiding Americans, not illegal aliens or fraudsters. 3. Taxpayer-funded benefits are not used by fraudsters to buy mansions or luxury cars. 4. Public agencies and officials work tirelessly and aggressively, coordinating at all levels of government, to stop fraud before payments go out the door. 5. Fraudsters face justice for their crimes in a court of law. Convicted fraudsters will be imprisoned and barred from ever receiving another penny of taxpayer dollars. 6. Illegal alien fraudsters are promptly arrested, prosecuted, imprisoned, and deported, never able to take advantage of Americans’ generosity again.

Each dollar stolen from federal programs isn’t just a loss for taxpayers - it’s also a dollar that never reaches Americans who need it most. I am proud to be a member of @VP Vance’s @WHFraudTF and to sign the Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud. As Chair of the @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I am working to identify and eliminate both taxpayer fraud and consumer fraud to protect taxpayer dollars, deliver accountability, and ensure federal programs continue to serve those who truly need them.

Under the Biden administration, government bureaucrats pressured and threatened banks to stop doing business with certain industries like fossil fuels, firearms, digital assets, and religious organizations. My @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations exposed this effort, and yesterday’s @USOCC report confirmed many of our findings. This goes way beyond the scope of the federal government’s authority, and it’s exactly what Democrats will do if they regain power in Washington. My colleagues and I on the Financial Services Committee have advanced legislation to ensure future Democrat administrations cannot pressure banks into carrying out their far left ideology. Watch:

I’ll be joining Varney & Co. at 11:15 AM to discuss how the Biden Administration targeted conservative organizations and individuals by pressuring banks to stop providing conservatives with their services. Make sure to tune in to @FoxBusiness.

Today's @USOCC report exposes how far Biden-era debanking went to pressure banks to cut off Americans for their politics, faith, and lawful businesses. My Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee has exposed this overreach since our first hearing on Operation Choke Point 2.0 and in our report on Biden's debanking of digital assets. @FinancialCmte is working to end debanking for good. My SAFE Guidance Act stops regulators from using unofficial guidance to pressure banks, and @RepAndyBarr’s FIRM Act permanently ends the "reputation risk" standard Biden regulators used to discourage institutions from banking lawful industries like firearms and crypto. Thank you to @USComptroller Gould and OCC for their work to expose this overreach, and I look forward to continuing our work together to ensure a future administration cannot repeat Biden’s mistakes.

Today, I joined members of the Columbia-Montour Chamber of Commerce for their legislative lunch. During the event, Chamber President & CEO Christian Berleth moderated a discussion between Alan Novak and T.J. Rooney on the areas where both parties can collaborate to deliver results for the American people. As a member of the Problem Solver’s Caucus, I’m committed to finding common ground and delivering bipartisan legislation that will cut through partisan gridlock. I appreciate the opportunity to participate, and thank you to all our outstanding Columbia and Montour business leaders for fueling our local economy and supporting job growth.

I had a great time visiting the Columbia Montour Area Vocational-Technical School in Bloomsburg today. Vocational and technical schools provide students with affordable programs that train our workforce for tomorrow’s competitive careers. I have been a strong advocate for vocational and technical programs and their students by fighting to expand Workforce Pell Grant eligibility and supporting the House passage of the Connecting Small Businesses with Career and Technical Education Graduates Act. Thank you to everyone at Columbia Montour Area Vocational-Technical School for having me, and to the culinary students for providing a great lunch.

Today, we celebrate Columbus Day, honoring Christopher Columbus and his historic voyage of 1492, which opened a new chapter in world history and paved the way for the exploration and settlement of the Americas. Columbus’s courage and determination helped usher in an era of discovery that would ultimately shape the founding and development of the United States of America. Today is a day for Italian Americans and, of course, all Americans to reflect on our history, the great things that we have done, and our consistent pursuit to form a more perfect union Happy Columbus Day! 🇺🇸

This week, I joined @FoxNews Live to discuss the findings from my @FinancialCmte Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee report on public housing authorities. Our investigation found that the Biden Administration allowed housing authorities across the country to fail, leading to unacceptable living conditions and wasting taxpayer dollars. HUD Secretary Turner and President Trump have begun implementing solutions to fix these issues, and I look forward to introducing policy that will address our findings. Watch my interview here:

I’ll be joining Fox News Live at 1:02 PM to discuss my @FinancialCmte Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee report on failures in public housing under the Biden Administration. Make sure to tune in to @FoxNews.

For years, the Biden Administration allowed Public Housing Authorities to fail without proper support or oversight. Mismanagement and a lack of accountability at these authorities have wasted taxpayer dollars meant to support our most vulnerable citizens and led to unacceptable living conditions. As Chair of the @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I have led the effort to fight fraud in taxpayer programs and ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely on those who need them most. Today, I joined the @jfradioshow to discuss my Subcommittee’s year-long investigation into public housing, which uncovered serious mismanagement under the Biden administration. I also outlined the recommendations we made to fix these issues, which the Trump Administration has already begun to implement. Democrat administrations allowed this problem to fester for far too long. I appreciate Chairman @RepFrenchHill’s leadership, as well as President @realDonaldTrump and HUD @SecTurner for their efforts to enhance federal support for public housing and demand greater accountability.
